Haiti Relief

Haiti - one year later.

Today the world marks the one year anniversary of the catastrophic earthquake that hit Haiti and devastated the lives of millions of individuals.  As we see again the images and hear the stories, our hearts and prayers go out to the people of Haiti and those who are on the ground helping to rebuild the country.

When the earthquake hit we were at a loss of what we could do from so far away. The immediate need was for water, essential foods and medical supplies. And so, with the amazing support of corporate Canada and our Board Members and Advisors, within 48 hours we were able to work with Airline Ambassadors International to begin shipping and distributing more than 600,000lbs worth of essential supplies, including food, beverages, pharmaceutical and personal care products to the people of Haiti. This mission took place over seven weeks and each day, our partners were there with us thinking of ways to assist.  We would like to thank them again for their support and generosity.

Today's commemoration of Haiti's earthquake one year ago is a reminder that we must not forget Haiti.  It is imperative that we continue to support the work of those on the ground and to think of innovative ways we can help Haitians.

TBSF remains committed to searching for ways to partner with those on the ground so that one day, Haiti will be a strong and stable country.
